The Centre

This privately-owned 39-place service in Bangor is seeking a dedicated and experienced Diploma Lead Educator to join their team on a full-time basis in 2026. The centre follows a play-based approach and educators are encouraged to create nurturing environments aligning with the Early Years Learning Framework.


The Role

Your role as a Lead Educator will include responsibilities as follows:

  • Leading, supporting, and working alongside the team in the Preschool (3-5) room to implement high quality education and care with child-led focus while embedding intentional teaching leading to successful learning outcomes for the children
  • Incorporating school readiness programs, observing and documenting children's learning progress
  • Building and maintaining trusting relationships with the children and families
  • Being reliable, respectful and working constructively with other educators and leaders

About You

To be successful in this position you must have:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education OR ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
  • Working with Children Check
  • Recent Child Protection/Safeguarding training
  • First Aid Certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
  • Food Handling Certificate
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Room Leader experience
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
  • Unrestricted Australian working rights
